Outdoor spaces are prime selling points for residential and commercial properties alike. This is why landscapers are often contracted to ensure that these spaces have precisely the right look. Quality artificial grass helps to enhance the beauty and by extension, make the property more attractive to those who view it.

Artificial grass does not have to look fake. The really high quality ones look very much like natural grass. Many times, these lawns impress individuals who compliment the property owners and managers of maintaining an impeccable lawn not knowing that the cutting, watering and general upkeep has not been done. The elimination of these often tedious and tiring upkeep methods is one of the reasons for the popularity of these grasses.

The color of the synthetic lawn is one feature that manufacturers try to get to be as closely resembling to natural grasses as possible. Any analysis of synthetic lawns should bear in mind, the fact that there are many shades of natural grass though. This means that the success of the attempts relies heavily on the type of lawn that is being imitated.

They also strive to match the texture of the natural grasses. They are designed to be soft and flexible in nature just like their natural counterparts. Thin blades made from nylon or propylene are best for the most natural look and feel. With the right fabric creating the right texture, these lawns feel just like Nature's work when people walk or even sit on them.

The strands of superior grade synthetic grasses need to be of a similar texture to natural ones but this alone is not enough to make the product seen natural. The density of the blades is also critical. The designers and manufacturers must first identify how many blades of grass occupy a particular area of naturally grown grass and then replicate this on the synthetic product.

Natural grasses allow water to seep through into the earth below and this is another feature that high quality synthetic lawns are able to copy. Manufacturers make the base of the lawn porous by placing holes in it. Through these holes, water drains into the earth below the lawn.

The installation process plays a significant role in the standard of the lawn. So whether the installer is an expert or a do-it yourself enthusiast, certain specifications must be met. The first one has to do with the surface to be covered which must be level. The second specification is that the layers must be carefully rolled so that there are no seams in the finished lawn. The better lawn strips already come with an overlapping feature that hides the seams when they are fitted together.

Commercially produced lawn areas are good investments for those who want to make their surroundings more beautiful. This is so because, in addition to making the space easier to use and more inviting, they increase the property value. They also attract more potential investors, customers or purchasers tot he property.
